Vintage SewMor 606 Japanese Sewing Machine

Meticulously Detailed by Joanna Darke

There are so many reasons to love a Japanese-made Sewmor. First, of course, is her stunning beauty, with her elegant styling and sumptuous colors.

It's said that beauty is only skin-deep but the Japanese engineering and commitment to quality evident in this precision machine make her truly beautiful all the way through.

She's a straight-stitch machine with a dial-o-matic type stitch-length lock for perfectly matched stitches in forward and reverse, and she has some great features like the instant-release sewing foot pressure adjuster, and the conveniently-placed, bed-mounted feed drop mechanism.

She's a perfect machine for quilting, applique, machine art and darning, and sewing light, medium, and heavy materials.

She uses universal needles and standard class 15 bobbins, both available everywhere on the internet and at your local department or sewing store.

She's just come off our restoration bench here at Stagecoach Road Vintage Sewing Machine, where we've been deep inside her to inspect, adjust, and scrutinize. We've had her apart and her pieces have been scrubbed in our alcohol bath before being inspected, polished, and then carefully restored to the machine. Each system has been tested during reassembly and then the machine tested as a whole.

Because we believe in this fine, built-to-last-a lifetime machine and in the work we do, we offer this free lifetime guarantee that if you ever have a problem with her, just bring or send her back to us and if it's something we can fix, we'll fix it for free. You, of course, will pay for any parts of shipping.
