Singer 301

The Singer 301 is one of the best machines that Singer ever made. Based on the Singer Featherweight, it has some of the features of the Featherweight combined with the new features of the Slant-O-Matic design.

It has the lightweight aluminum body like the Featherweight, and the fold-up sewing bed, and uses the same bobbin and bobbin case as the Featherweight, and the same type hook.

It has the Slant-Needle design of the Slant-O-Matics for improved visability of your project, and the built-in sewing light. It's also a full-sized machine, capable of handling your big projects.

As you can see in the photos, this machine is like a new machine. It's been barely used and then stored for decades, waiting to be rediscovered and restored to it's original full beauty and working condition.

Here at Stagecoach Road Sewing, we love these machines, and work to bring them back to the very best that they can be.

We take them apart, inspect, clean, lube, adjust, and generally look for any problems or potential problems. Then we detail them to look like new and test them rigorously.

Because we believe in these beautiful, built-to-last machines and in the work we do, we offer this free Lifetime Guaranty: If you ever have a problem with one of our restored, vintage machines, we'll fix it for free. You, of course, pay for any parts or shipping.

This beautiful machine came to me without case or table. If you'd like to be able to put this into your standard sized Singer-type table, a 301 cradle is available for sale. It's nearly identical, just a little bigger than the one in the Featherweight table, where the machine clicks in or out with a press of the release lever.

The cradle fits on the hinge-pins of your Singer-type sewing machine cabinet, to adapt it for your 301. The machine remains entirely portable, snap in, snap out and, at the same time, securely fixed in your cabinet.
