She's a strong, straight-stitch machine that will sew everything from baby clothes, to wedding dresses, to boat covers.
She uses standard needles and standard class 15 bobbins, both the most common in the world, available everywhere, and she features dropping feed and reverse.
She's simple and easy to operate, yet entirely sufficient for any home sewing project.
Before we ship her out to you, we'll make a video of her final test and in it, we'll show you how to wind the bobbin, how to thread her, and how to adjust the tension, the stitch length, and the sewing foot pressure.
She's fresh off our restoration bench here at Stagecoach Road Vintage Sewing Machine and she has that smooth, precision feel of a quality machine. She's clean from top to bottom and from the inside, out.
We've been restoring awesome sewing machines for twenty-five years and we're good at it. In that time we've restored and shipped over a thousand machines to contented sewers all over the country and beyond, plus the multiple hundreds of beloved machines shipped to us for restoration from every corner of the US.
To us, this is more than just an income. We love these beautiful, built to last machines, and it's our desire to put them back to work for sewers who are serious about their sewing machine.
We disassemble most of the systems and scrub their parts in our alcohol bath, and polish them before restoring them to the machine, and the parts that remain on the machine get flushed and lubricated in place so they slip and whirl, and slide against each other on a thin film of clean oil like they did when she was new.
We inspect the parts as we handle each and every one, and adjust, test, and adjust some more until she's running and sewing perfectly.
