Japanese New Home 445 Vintage Sewing Machine

Here's something new for us. Usually we offer fully restored and guaranteed for life, vintage sewing machines but, due to a glut of beautiful vintage machines, we are offering a few for about half the cost of our restored machines. These are fine Japanese-made machines that were pretty much pristine to start with, that we've cleaned and lubed and then tested to be sure that they are sewing as they should.

This one is a New Home model 445, made by Janome. It uses universal needles and standard class 15 bobbins, the most common in the world, and available everywhere. It sews straight and zigzag stitches and, with the dr`op in stitch pattern cams (available somewhere on the internet) it will sew another 27 decorative and utility stitch patterns.

It features three needle positions, Left, Right, and Center, and easy to use controls for stitch length and width, tension, and sewing foot pressure, and it comes with the original user manual.
