This fine Japanese 16031 Kenmore is one of our new Budget line of vintage machines, meaning that rather than our usual full restoration, we've inspected, cleaned, lubricated, adjusted, detailed, and tested it.
For this line of machines we choose a high quality machine that's already proven to run and sew great and then given it a thorough service and double testing to be sure everything is working as it should. It doesn't carry the full Lifetime Guaranty that our restored machines have, but we do guaranty it for 30 days from the time you receive it to be sure that you are satisfied.
Watch the video we've made to see it in action. See how to thread it, how to work the various controls, and how to sew with it. TR Kelley ia a seamstress, an entertainer, and a technician with a long, long history of vintage sewing machine restoration. Watch it now! It's informative! It's entertaining!
This Kenmore features zigag and forward-reverse stretch-stitches, with utility and decorative stitches. It has an easy bed-mounted, push-button feed drop and an instant-release sewing foot pressure adjuster.
It uses universal needles and standard Class 15 bobbins, the most common in the world and available everywhere. It also comes with a nice set of attachments and we'll make sure to include a .pdf user manual that you can view on-screen at whatever size suits your eyesight, and/or print out for a paper copy.
This heavy-duty metal machine will sew multiple layers of heavy material and garment leather, as well as medium and light fabrics. We think you'll like it.
