It's sturdy and in good condition, other than a small mistake on my part that will save you some money. As you can see on the top of the cabinet, I sanded right through the top veneer (even though I was hand-sanding. Who'd have thought?) It's been coated with 3 coats of polyurethane to protect the surface and to hide the mistake, but what's done is done. Check out the photo of the cabinet top to see how it turned out.
Because of this we've reduced the price by 50%. If you can't abide a flaw like this, we'll have another No. 42 cabinet coming up in a blonde-wood color in a couple of weeks at full price.
I photographed this cabinet in direct sunlight and it makes it look reddish and lighter than it is in reality. It's actually a darker walnut color.
This cabinet will accommodate most vintage Singers and most Japanese-made sewing machines, as well. It can be fitted with cradle to fit the Singer 301, for an added fee. Browse our website (below) to find a nice machine to fit this great cabinet.
Sorry, it's SOLD!
